The client is a Foodservice Management Company, that offers catering services, delivery services, vending machines and coffee stations. Our client has a POS linked to a central server, from where he manages marketing campaigns, promotions, stocks and orders. The client also has a centralized reporting system. The out-of-the-box application for the POS was developed by a French software engineer, but he needed customizations for the marketing campaigns and for reporting services.
The Kepler team performed consultancy services for implementation of the information system, for the entire network of the client sites. Our customizations are now used in every location of our client’s business.
For this project, we worked with JES POS & vending solutions Information system (MoneWin, MoneRa, MoneWeb components), Oracle 11g, Windows XP, MS Project, Visio and Jira.
The user-friendly application is used by the client’s employees, making their jobs a lot easier.
For this project, we worked Waterfall. But first, we went to our client’s headquarters for knowledge transfer and ramp up.
This project was first released in June 2011. From 2011 to 2014 we offered support for the application.
With this project, Kepler has expanded its area of expertise in the field of food service, currently having the ability to offer solutions for all the customers in this industry.
The main challenge of this project was to adapt to a new business domain.
Kepler has proven flexibility and a high capacity to adapt to a new business domain. As a proof of that accomplishment, we were asked to do support for this application for three years after.
