Our client is a recognized automotive supplier. As an international Group employing 4.500 people, it has 23 factories across 17 countries. He is specialized in automotive interiors and acoustic environment. The client had an AS / 400 monitoring service provided by another vendor, but had no monitoring systems for other network systems, like Linux and Windows. Our customer was dissatisfied with the services of the other vendor (because he was causing false alerts and bad actions). Our main challenge was to fine tune the monitoring systems in order to eliminate the false alerts without losing any real incident, in a complex environment (different operating systems and network devices, production environment with high availability constraints).
Kepler has developed from scratch the monitoring systems for Linux and Windows, and for AS / 400 we have developed a special monitoring tool. Monitoring on AS / 400 is vital for the core business of the client, because it involves critical applications that control production and delivery flows.
For this client, Kepler ensures 24/7 monitoring, for 800 Windows and Linux servers, 10 AS/400 servers and thousands of different network devices, that serve its worldwide factories.
To ensure continuity, the Kepler monitoring team is distributed in three redundant infrastructure centers (Bucharest, Pitesti and Craiova).
This project started in 2008 and the collaboration is ongoing.
The client has 24/7 monitoring, 365 days/year and our team is distributed across 3 monitoring centers so, if there is a connectivity issue, our client will not feel it.
